This was my first time at Max’s of Manila! I haven’t had much Filipino food before other than lumpia and tacos from the White Rabbit food truck. I went for lunch with a group of people from my church. Max’s is popular for families and large groups. They are well-known for their fried chicken, so most of us ordered chicken plates. The chicken skin is crispy, and the meat is really flavorful, juicy, and tender.
Max’s Platter for $8.95- a quarter of Max’s fried chicken, garlic rice (or steamed rice), Pancit Bihon (or Pancit Canton), and Max’s caramel bar. This was so good! I was really full and saved the caramel bar for another day.
