Tanino Ristorante Bar in Los Angeles, CA

My company conducts clinical studies at different sites around the US and world, and one of our study sites is UCLA!  I was so excited for the chance to go with a coworker to do a site qualification visit.  We met briefly with the nurses and principal investigator for the study to go over the study protocol and site requirements.  The investigator is quite attractive and is famous for his line of men’s dress shirts.  After the visit, we walked around Westwood Village to find a place for lunch, and we ended up at Tanino Ristorante Bar!  This place is expensive, but the food and service are good.  When the company covers the meal, I’m always torn between getting something interesting and pricey or settling for something that is normal and cheaper.

Pappardelle al Ragu’ d’Agnello for $18.60- I haven’t tried pappardelle before, and it was interesting to have an Italian dish with this kind of pasta.  The lamb tasted gamey and I didn’t enjoy it too much.  My coworker ordered lobster ravioli, and I thought it tasted better than my pasta.

This dessert was delicious!  I don’t remember what it’s called.  It has chocolate and vanilla ice cream, a maraschino cherry, whipped cream, and it’s covered in a chocolate shell!
