To celebrate the enrollment of our first patient in a new clinical study, my team decided to go to Farrell’s for lunch! Farrell’s is a classic American ice cream parlour and restaurant now open in downtown Brea, right across from Bruxie! It’s famous for its ice cream sundaes and large desserts, and it’s really popular for celebrating kids’ birthdays. The restaurant’s atmosphere is fun, the wait staff sings “happy birthday” with enthusiasm and a drum, and there’s a candy shop in the front where you can buy giant gummy bears!
Slider Burgers for $8.79- Three burgers with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, Farrell’s sauce, and American cheese.
Black & White Sundae for $6.89- Chocolate and vanilla ice cream, marshmallow topping, hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry.
Fake Chicken Dinner for $4.99- The most creative dessert I’ve seen! It looks like pieces of chicken, peas and carrots, and mashed potatoes with gravy, but it’s really butter toffee, candy coated mint balls, vanilla ice cream, and caramel sauce!
