After church one afternoon, some of us decided to go out and have ramen for lunch! I don’t think I can ever get tired of ramen. Ramen Jinya is located in a plaza on 11239 Ventura Blvd in Studio City. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating is cozy with heat lamps and couches in a corner. Our group was seated in the corner with two couches and table seating! Ramen Jinya serves pork, chicken, or vegetable ramen, and cold noodles. You can also add toppings such as extra pork, chicken wontons, fresh garlic, spicy bean sprouts, butter, or extra noodles for 50 cents-$2 more. The fresh garlic is free, and you’ll get a garlic press to crush at least 5 cloves! If a bowl of ramen isn’t enough for you or you want to share, you can make a combination meal with a choice of gyoza and salad, california rolls and salad, a spicy tuna bowl and salad, crispy chicken and salad, chicken bowl and salad, or chashu bowl and salad for $3.95-$4.95 more.
Spicy tuna rolls!
Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen for $8.55- Yokohama-style with pork broth, pork chashu, spinach, bamboo, green onions, and fried onions! The other pork ramen varieties are shio (Hakata-style), spicy (Kyoto-style), and miso (Sapporo-style). Each order of ramen is served in a deep bowl with a lot of soup, and all the ingredients make it delicious. I have nothing but a positive opinion about the food here.
