Shin-Sen-Gumi in Rosemead, CA

Shin-Sen-Gumi is a popular ramen shop in Rosemead!  It’s located on Valley Blvd in a plaza between Delta St and Walnut Grove.  What makes Shin-Sen-Gumi (aka Hakata Ramen) unique is its options!  Every order of ramen requires the following choices- firmness of noodles, how much oil, how much soup flavor, and any extra toppings such as leafy pickles, cod roe, corn, spicy miso, egg, seaweed, or bean sprouts!

I was curious about leafy pickles, and it turned out that they’re salty marinated cucumbers that taste similar to the marinated cucumbers that are usually eaten with congee.

Cod roe and spicy miso add unique flavors to your ramen!

My ramen soup with the extra toppings of corn and egg, regular firmness of noodles, regular soup broth, and light oil.  The egg is $1 extra, and the corn is 75 cents extra.  Each bowl of ramen comes with green onions, sesame seeds, ginger, and pork.  Delicious!
