TAPS Fish House & Brewery in Brea, CA

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner after shopping at the Brea Mall one night!  I had only been to TAPS once before for a work celebration.  The food is delicious, and there are so many entrees to choose from!

The bread is very soft and delicious.

Maine Lobster Dumplings for $11.95- These steamed dumplings have fresh Maine lobster, shallots, lemon juice, chives, and butter folded into pasta, and they are served with lobster sauce and white truffle foam.  There are only six dumplings per order, which is unfortunate since they are so good.

Jerome and Jose’s Jambalaya for $16.95- Shrimp, chicken, Andouille sausage and smoked ham simmered in a secret tomato cayenne broth, and served with dirty rice and slivered green onions!

Idaho Rainbow Trout Scampi for $21.95- Rainbow trout pan-seared then topped with bay shrimp sauteed in white wine garlic butter sauce and served with citrus basmati rice & sauteed seasonal vegetables!  I didn’t like how the skin was still on the fish, but it was a good dish overall.
