One of my college friends was visiting from Sacramento for a few days, so we met up for lunch before she headed back up north! Cafe Tu Tu Tango is located at The Block in Orange. The interior of the restaurant is very unique and fun. There are paintings everywhere, and the pizzas are served on wooden painting palettes! There’s something for everyone with their selection of sandwiches, pizzas, soups, skewers, seafood, burgers, and ribs!
Ceviche for $8.95- Fresh seasonal fish marinated in lime juice with garlic, peppers, onions, roma tomatoes, and cilantro and served with tri-colored tortilla chips! I’ve never had ceviche with fish before, but it was very light and refreshing! The ceviche should come with more tortilla chips though.
Carne Asada Skewers for $8.95-These skewers are made with flank steak marinated in garlic, spices, lime juice, and dark beer and served with guacamole salsa roja and flour tortillas!
Tango White Pizza for $8.95- Their sauceless, thin-crust pizza is brick-oven baked and made with grilled chicken, garlic-ricotta, caramelized onions, mozzarella, monterey jack, and feta cheese.
Tango Chicken Sandwich for $7.95- Grilled chicken breast, basil aioli, fresh tomatoes, red onions, and brie cheese (if you like it) on soft, fluffy bread and served with your choice of fries or a salad! I really liked this sandwich. The chicken was tender, the bread was good, and the basil aioli was delicious.
Kahlua Creme Brulee for $4.95- Creamy vanilla custard with a caramelized sugar topping and served with whipped cream and fresh raspberries!
Crazy Bananas for $6.95- A fun dessert made with vanilla bean ice cream, walnuts and sliced bananas drizzled with Drambuie and Scotch-infused caramel sauce, and topped with whipped cream and sopapillas!
