My friends wanted to meet up for dinner around Monterey Park, so I suggested going to Bollini’s! The restaurant is located at 2315 S. Garfield not too far north of the 60 freeway. I had heard good things about it from other friends, so I was excited to finally get a chance to try it with some great company! Everything we ordered was delicious, and I had thirds of the salad and pasta!
Their bread is served with a pesto sauce!
Arugula Salad- Arugula greens with fresh corn, smoked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, teardrop tomatoes, goat cheese and red wine vinaigrette!
Pasta Del Postino- Farfalle pasta with chicken, wild mushrooms, asparagus, shallots, peas, herbs, garlic and a gorgonzola cream sauce. My friends were so nice and changed the pasta to penne and the sauce to a white wine sauce.
Since you can order pizza halves, that’s what we did! We ordered The Papo and The Cal Twist. The Papo has olive pesto, shrimp, clams, onions, tomatoes, Sicilian chili, herbs, and is finished with herb olive oil and parmesan. The Cal Twist has sauce, basil pesto, shrimp, sun dried tomato, roasted peppers, mozzarella, herbs and parmesan.
