Cafe Massilia is a hidden gem of downtown Monrovia. It is a small and cozy restaurant located on the corner of Lemon and Myrtle, but it is easy to miss due to the lack of a sign. I found out about this restaurant from Yelp, and its lunch express menu option for $13 (appetizer, entree, and dessert) made it an appealing place to try. There was only one other table being used when we arrived, and no one else came into the restaurant during the hour that we were there. This restaurant needs some more publicity and a sign that is visible from Myrtle.
Sourdough baguette! This would have tasted better if it was warm.
Cream of Butternut Squash Soup- This soup was alright. It should have also been served warmer.
Crepe Vegetarienne- A crepe with sauteed spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and potatoes.
Omelette Ratatouille- A vegetable mixture of eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, and tomatoes cooked into an omelette.
Creme Brulee- This was a good-sized dessert.
Overall, this cafe was good, and I would like to come here again to try some of their pastas and traditional French dishes.
