Cook’s Tortas in Monterey Park, CA

I never heard of this restaurant until a couple months ago.  It’s a cozy little restaurant that serves a great selection of tortas (Mexican sandwiches)!  The tortas are about $7 each and come in a good size, about 10 inches.

This pineapple celery drink tastes good, but it’s more celery than pineapple.

Sweet potato fries…you can’t go wrong!

I ordered the Mole Verde Torta.  It has grilled chicken, onions, lettuce, and a pepita-tomatillo mole sauce.  It’s extremely flavorful and delicious with a touch of spiciness!
